Royal Society Membership and Join
Becoming a Fellow
A Fellow is a professional expert in one of the RSOF's disciplines. The title of Fellow
is reserved for the highest caliber of professional work.
- Fellows will receive a distinguishing wall plaque
- Fellows will be listed in a special section "Certified Professional and Academic
Experts" in the online Experts Database.
- Fellows may serve on the governing boards of the Society and the internal
societies.
- Fellows may be invited to submit policy or professional papers to the Society at
its bi-annual conferences.
- Fellows may apply for a research grant at a partnering academic institution.
Fellow
Requirements include:
- Completion of two ISO Recognized Certification Programs or Royal
Society Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas or completion of a government accredited Masters
degree in a relevant discipline
- Completion of a fifty-page, academic publishable quality article in a relevant
discipline, with a minimum 50 footnotes, judged by the Academic Council; and,
- Five years professional experience.
A RSOF Member is entitled to the following:
- Vote in General Member meetings;
- Be Part of the Editorial Board and Law Review of The Royal Society of Fellows
Law Review;
- Attend the Society conferences at significant discounts;
- The Society's membership certificate, suitable for framing;
- Receive discounted services and publications negotiated on by the Society on behalf of
its membership;
- Belong to an internal society of the RSOF;
- Be listed in the online Membership Directory and have access to the online;
- Be listed in the online Expertise Database open to the public for finding experts in
international and jurisdictional topics;
- Have access to the online General Member forum Group
